Frequently Asked Questions
When Is The Best Time To Take Newborn Photos?
A baby will only be new once, which is one of the reasons that newborn photos are so important to capture. Typically, newborn photos are done within the first 8 to 14 days of a baby’s life. COVID-19 has changed a lot of things. To give mom and baby time to settle at home before the shoot, I recommend to clients that we schedule the shoot between days 14 and 21.
The thing I hear most from second-time parents is that they regret not getting newborn photos done when they had the chance, so don’t miss out on the opportunity. Due to our extremely busy schedule and the time sensitive nature of the newborn session, we highly recommend to pre-book your baby’s session before your expected due date.
Although getting pictures done so soon after your baby’s birth may be the farthest thing from your mind, photos truly do appreciate with time.
My job as a photographer is to not only capture those moments, but to make them so timeless that when you pass by that image many years later, it will still remind you of just how precious and small your baby was. I might be biased, but I truly believe there is not a better investment in your child’s memories than their newborn photos. Your baby will adore looking back at how small they were, and you will forever cherish these priceless memories.
Why Should I Invest In Newborn Photos?
What Do I Need To Bring?
For your new bundle, you will need to bring food and diapers as well as a few receiving blankets.
All props, accessories, backdrops and more will be supplied by our studio for your session. We want this to be a worry-free experience for you, and we made sure to think it through on your behalf. Your only task is to pre-book your session and meet us at the studio on the day of your shoot.
My clients will occasionally bring a sentimental object that they would like to incorporate into the shoot, but this isn’t necessary. I also work with some incredible partners such as bakers, custom made children’s clothiers and makeup artists, in case you need some resources.
We pride ourselves in our state-of-the-art beautiful products such as photo albums, heirloom canvas prints, gallery wraps and more.
Following your session, I can visit with you at your home, go through all the images, and help you select what images would look best, and where they can be displayed in your home.
My clients think of me as a baby whisperer that creates and preserves memories to last a lifetime as well as custom wall art decorator for your home. I am happy I can be of service to my amazing clients and be of assistance with such indispensable engagements.
